Solar Innova has achieved a new certification of conformity with the BS 8493:2008+A1:2010 standard, relating to the determination of the Light Reflectance Value (LRV) of different material surfaces.
Light reflectance and transmittance are the amount of light reflected or transmitted by a material, product, or surface in the visible region of the electromagnetic spectrum, from 380 nm to 780 nm.
Light reflectance and transmittance refer to how we perceive the color of a material. For opaque materials, we would refer to reflectance. For translucent materials, we would refer to transmittance.
LRV is a measure that indicates how much light a color reflects and, conversely, how much it absorbs. LRV is calculated on a scale from 0% to 100%. Zero is considered absolute black, and 100% is considered perfectly reflective white.
According to the Declaration of Performance (DoP), our products comply with Regulation (EC) No 305/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council on construction products. The CE marking indicates that a construction product meets the declared performance requirements and has been assessed according to a harmonised European standard or that a European Technical Assessment has been issued for that product.
