BIPV-Building Integrated PhotoVoltaics is the replacement of conventional construction materials by new photovoltaic architectural elements and that are therefore generators of energy.

 

Solar photovoltaic technology generates energy in the same place where it is consumed without the need for the contribution of any external fuel. Thus, by integrating it into the urban space, maximum advantage is taken by being the only renewable technology with these characteristics that could currently be installed massively in an urban environment such as that of large cities.

As regards the aesthetics of the panel, glass makes an important contribution. The wide range of colors presented by the glasses and, to a lesser extent, the cells, allows great freedom when designing the building. Architects have a wide range of modules when projecting the integrated installation, from semi-transparent to opaque, colored panels, etc.
